Well, actually I wouldn't, but I might have managed a card, because 60 is a Very Important Birthday.  *nods emphatically*  However, since a certain someone who shall remain nameless (*frowns*) didn't mention the birthday until I was on my way home from the office tonight, there's not much I can do except say (*clears throat*):

HAPPY
BIRTHDAY,
GARRY!!!

Thank you for the Birthday wish
Here I am (Garry - Jennifer's dad) into an unknown part of World Wide Web. I guess it tells you why Jennifer had so many candles on my cake when I don't even know what Live Journals are. Says a lot for someone who works with computers every day. Let me think about that. The reason I didn't get back to you sooner is that we have had all kinds of things come up here this week with database keys that are not providing valid links, processing code that takes 8 hours to execute when we believe it should only take 45 minutes, and the list goes on. So, despite the fact it is our job, do we really know anything about computers?

In any event, thanks for taking the time to wish me a happy birthday and introduce me the unknown corners of the Internet.

You're very welcome! I hope it was a terrific one. Btw, Jen instructed me specifically to mention the fact that you turned sixty. Since you're only three and a half years older than I am (I was born in 1950), I wonder if she was subtly telling me something as well!

You really should get an lj of your own some day. Then you and I could reminisce about things that happened before Jen's time. (Also plot behind her back if circumstances warranted, lol.)

I don't post as often as I'd like. Work (I'm in banking) keeps me busy during the day, and most evenings are spent talking to Jen via instant messaging, or playing games of scrabble with her. I'll definitely be at loose ends when she goes to France and is nine time zones away, which should translate to more lj posts. Please stop by and comment sometime. :-)
