A quick question for my francophone friends

How would you refer to a female French president?  "Mme le President" or "Mme la Presidente" (or some other way altogether)?  I've just been speculating on a scenario which has Villepin and Sarkozy fighting to a draw over the next 18 months, the French Right getting disgusted with both of them and letting someone like Le Pen slip in as the main candidate, which in turn leads to horrified French voters turning en masse to the Socialist candidate Ségolène Royal, who wins the presidency.  Thus my question.

Or maybe Chirac will just decide to run for a third term....

Fine. Be that way, then.

Hey, did you and Jen see the "Next Morning" feedback I posted on Saturday? I know you're busy with uni, but I was surprised not to find a comment from Jen waiting for me when I came in today. Oh, and while you're online let me ask this: Did you ever receive the Christmas box I sent?

Re: Answers
Yes, I read your mini-treatise and will hopefully reply to it soon, as well as the massive treatise, but revision is quite hectic. Am just about to leave (10 mins for the train) for an exam, and will check in at residence to see if any posts arrived. :)

Tavi, I mailed the Christmas box before Christmas, so it should have been there waiting for you for weeks now. If it doesn't turn up, let me know, please.
