Thank you! I wish I could put little hats on any of my four cats' heads, but I don't think they'd like it very much. Especially Clyde, he's still traumatized by that lampshade collar thing he had to wear when his ear had that hemotoma.

Sarah also made her a Santa Claus hat which she is forced is permitted to wear at Christmas. If LJ had the mood "longsuffering", that would be the perfect illustration, lol.

Absolutely. I've noticed that cats are not hat people. So to speak.

Green Eggs and Ham was always my favorite Seuss book.

Uh... But darling, not only is your icon not of Harley for this post, it seems you don't even have Harley and her hat in your icons. Is there something I'm missing here? *is puzzled* Is it only for me that LJ is whack then?

And as for the icon, I can't remember who took the pic either, lol.

Stupid LJ!

I really did use the Harley icon for my post and for one of my comments, but because I'm well over the 100-icon limit, I've moved a lot of icons (you probably noticed that some of the other ones you made for me were missing) to the Shared Pictures folder on my hard drive. (I know you said you thought there was somewhere on LJ to store these "temporarily not in use" icons, but I haven't found it.) Anyway, with the two birthday icons, which get limited use, I thought it made sense to keep them in Shared Pictures, and just reload them into LJ when I needed to use them, then, after the post was made, I could delete them from LJ again until the next time I wanted to use them. Obviously I didn't know that when you do that the icon doesn't stay attached to the post, but goes to the default. :-(

Hmmm, I wonder what would happen if I didn't have a default icon set. Maybe it would hold then? *decides to conduct an experiment*

In any case, I guess I'd better bring the two birthday icons back from exile ....

Haaaaaaaaa, I see. Well, no, it wouldn't hold. Why? Because obviously it wouldn't BE there anymore. If you take down a picture from where it is initially linked and posted from, it's NEVER going to "stick", lol. If you want to have an icon appear on a post, you can't just post with it and then take it down. If you didn't have a default icon, then you'd have no icon here at all, that's all, lol. And even if you did put your unused icons in the folder you have with your paid account on LJ, they still wouldn't stick since they still wouldn't be where they were when you posted them. Make sense?

Basically, it's the same thing if I post a picture in mes_yeux, for example. If I upload it somewhere and post it, then move the pic somewhere else, then it won't stick where it was posted in mes_yeux, I will instead get one of those red cross boxes you get when you can't see a posted pic.

Basically, it's not stupid LJ, lol. It's the way web coding works, darling, lol.

Well, I don't think that's buddies, is all.

I think LJ should give permanent accounts unlimited icons. *wanders off to look for a suggestion box*

*cracks up*

No, it's not buddies at all, you're right. And you go and suggest that, I think LJ should do that too. ;-)
