About that state visit....

Now that DT has slandered our greatest ally by claiming ... excuse me, by repeating an assertion, ["Not my fault, folks, I didn't say it"] that Britain's GCHQ (Government Communications Headquarters) was involved in spying on him during the campaign on behalf of President Obama, does anyone besides me think that Theresa May is starting to regret the hasty invitation she issued for a state visit? And the hopes for those post-Brexit trade deals that were a main reason behind her early visit to Washington? Well, I wouldn't hold my breath.

If Nicola Sturgeon hasn't asked the question, I'm sure she will.

May will do or say anything to Trump as long as he can keep dangling an elusive trade deal in front of her. It's beyond pathetic. I wish we were still in the EU and that it was a federal state and that Merkel was our president.

Merkel's the one bit of sanity in the world at the moment.

And our wonderful Secretary of State Tillerson has decided to finally say something, and had the brilliant idea of waving a big red flag ("all options are on the table") in front of someone who executes his enemies by shooting them with anti-aircraft guns.... Brilliant move, Rex!
