Good news from the Netherlands and here

I think I'll buy masses of tulips this weekend as a happy reminder that the Dutch (channeling Nancy Reagan here) decided to "just say No" to Geert Wilders and his horrible views.

And we're also spared another world leader with a hideous hairstyle.

Let's hope French voters show the same common sense when it comes to Marine.

And adding to the reasons this is a good day ... Trump's latest anti-Muslim travel ban (which he of course says isn't a ban and isn't directed at Muslims *cue eye-rolling here*) was shot down yesterday by a federal judge in Hawaii before it could go into effect. And if the government appeals, the appeal would be heard by the Ninth Circuit Court (the same court that rejected Travel Ban 1.0).

They'd also have to appeal in the 4th because of Maryland, wouldn't they? It's a fairly conservative court. Hope they have to do 9th first.

Yes, probably. But perhaps they'll get cold feet about appealing, just like the last time.

I do love the fact that Trump's own words are coming back to haunt him.

Now, how to deal with general harassment at the borders? There's this, and then more here, and so now we're dealing like this...

Fraser never would have made it to Chicago. :-(

And in an opinion piece in today's New York Times, Arthur Brooks, president of the American Enterprise Institute (a conservative think tank), is saying "Depressed by Politics? Just Let Go".

And here's a nice glass of Kool-Aid if you're thirsty. :-((((((((((
