Thank you, Karen! It has been some crazy and sad past few days. And they're still "manhunting" the men who are responsible, so I guess it's not over yet.

I'll follow your icon with a quote that has been going around a lot the past few days, it's from Voltaire: "Fanaticism is a monster that pretends to be the child of religion"...

Perfect quote.

The news alerts say the two brothers have been killed, along with the man who took hostages at the kosher grocery store. Let's just hope that their "martyrdom" (at least that's what the brothers were saying they wanted) doesn't inspire more fanaticss to emulate them.

Today was absolutey insane, Karen. There were two hostage situations simultaneously, and because we live in this day and age, we followed the whole thing live, till the two task forces led the attacks. It was surreal. I'm still shaken tonight even though, obviously, I wasn't impacted personally. Just, surreal.

Anyway. Yes, the brothers were killed, and the third man (the one responsible for the death of young policewoman yesterday, who was an accomplice although not involved in the Charlie Hebdo shooting) was killed as well. Sadly, four of the hostages were killed...

What a day. What a week. Let's just hope it's the end of it and not, indeed, the beginning of a series of attacks.

Anyway. Sorry for rambling...
