I also saw Beats of the Soutern Wild which I really liked and Amour which was compelling but hard on the soul.
I did enjoy the Hobbit-its not a patch on Lord of the Rings and the 3D is a bit strange but the time went quickly.Debating whether to go see Rust and Bones next week -out local arts centre is about 2 months behind on films.
I am looking forward to Cloud Atlas but it has not reached the UK yet.
I've yet to see a film in 3D, and as long as they keep releasing a 2D version, that's the one I'll always pick. Maybe if I wore contacts it would be different, but I just can't see putting on a pair of 3D glasses over my regular glasses.
Rust and Bones is still playing here, but I haven't decided if I want to see it. I passed on Cloud Atlas, but maybe this is the year I'll take my copy of the book off the shelf and read it.
I'm thinking about seeing Amour tomorrow, and Lincoln or The Impossible on Sunday.
