To greedy_dancer for the surprise package that I found on my doorstep when I got home from work last night. I'd been meaning to ask you what Tim-Tams are, and now I don't have to, lol. (For those who don't know, Tim-Tams are wonderful chocolate cookie wafers with a mousse-like filling, the whole thing surrounded by a chocolate coating.) I'm going to have to see if they're imported here; otherwise, if I get addicted, what am I going to do when you go home to France? *G*
To castalie for hosting a very interesting discussion in her lj which let me see just how much French I somehow seem to have picked up quite without trying. Maybe the subject matter and the vocabulary means my "reading knowledge of French" will be a little different from what graduate schools had in mind all those years ago when I was toying with the idea of a History Ph.D., but this is what works for me now. ;-) Thanks also for pointing the way to
30_baisers, which hopefully will give me lots of good reading practice. :-)</span>
