*sigh* It's 10:05 p,m., and I've just come back upstairs to my office after having a quick dinner. And that's my office at work, you understand, not at home. If all goes well, I'll be out of here in another 14 1/2 hours. The plan
was to go home at my regular time tonight (which lately seems to mean leaving the office at 6:30 p.m.), and take tomorrow as a vacation day to do my normal Saturday running around so that I could be on a plane to San Francisco Saturday afternoon. The San Francisco trip is still a go, but life's gotten in the way of the rest of it....
Oh yes, and the air conditioning in the building gets turned off around 7:00 p.m., so it's just a little warm in here....
Aren't you glad I don't post more often? :-S

Windows that open ... what a novel concept! Of course, when you work in a 50-storey office tower that might not be the most desirable architectural feature....
San Francisco was the opera ("Rigoletto"). Will be going up again for the same reason in late October and late November. :-)
Oh, and my hopes of getting out of the office around noon on Friday were dashed; ended up having to work a normal day. Still, that means a vacation day saved. :-)
I don't think I said how lovely the tote bag was - thank you! When I finally got it from the post office. ;)
Oh and I forgot there's another small opera they're doing - contemporary, even!
Now I must go get ready for my next class and try to keep awake through the haze of the oncoming cold season...
San Francisco was gorgeous. Thirty degrees cooler than L.A.!
