New television show

It's been five years (!!!) since I last found a new network television show to watch (Lost). Since then, the only new shows I've been interested enough to follow have been on basic cable (The Closer, Damages, Mad Men, and this season's Durham County (starring Hugh Dillon, in case anyone doesn't already know)). So, with Lost moving into its final season in early 2010, I'm happy to report that, based on the first episode (which I watched twice), the new Lost-ish FlashForward looks to be a keeper. Anyone else watching? :-)

Re: Minor spoiler
I did not notice the Oceanic Air sign! And I didn't tape the episode, so I can't go back and look for it. I certainly had a Polar Bear! moment, though, when everyone's picking themselves up and trying to figure out what just happened.

Every time Olivia said something, I kept wanting her to sound like Penny Widmore.

And I didn't recognize Olivia/Penny -- duh! People look familiar to me but I guess I don't stop to think about why or where from.

Here's a shot of the Oceanic billboard. Click to make larger:

I have only one complaint about Lost but it is a big one. I HATE the long breaks between seasons! I don't even mind that for a long time there were more questions than answers. That was the fun of it. I just can't take a half-dozen new episodes then months without a peep. By then I've lost (ha) interest.

Oh, that's great! Thank you! I'll have to ask my sister if she noticed it. As for Olivia/Penny, I only knew because I'd read an article about the show that made mention of it. *has secret knowledge* lol

I hate the way television seasons are now. I know it dates me, but I remember when the new shows all started in September, went until spring, and then the season was in repeats over the summer. That way you got to see episodes you might have missed, or just had an opportunity to watch them again.

I have the first four seasons of Lost on DVD, and will buy S5 when it's released and (eventually) S6 as well. Then I'm going to start from the beginning and watch one or two episodes a week straight through. :-)
