Office Move, Part 4

I spoke too soon when I posted last Friday that I'd survived the move.  It's madness.  Nothing works, from storage shelves that aren't tall enough to hold the 50 or so large 3-ring binders that are presently stacked up on the floor around my desk, to computer firewall issues that now deny me access to things that I could do in the other building.  If we had windows that opened, I'd be thinking about jumping right about now (I'm on the 22nd floor).  But, really, I couldn't even do that, since it would mean I'd never find out what's going to happen to Chris and Toby ....  So maybe I'll just crawl under my desk and hide out for a while.

25 days and counting, Aline.  It's all that's keeping me sane!

I seriously miss my music.  A requiem mass would do just fine today.

Ah! I'm listening to Mozart's requiem.
I think you'll like the ending of the fic. I made it the way you seemed to want it.
I'm sending tons of good thoughts your way -If you need some distraction, go read the novel I recced on my latest posts. It's sheer awesome delight with original characters screaming Toby and Chris and the BDSM is the best I ever ever read. I dare say it. Nothing better.

I saw your post (and printed it out so I wouldn't forget the recs). Not sure when I'll be able to take a look at this, as I'm deep in DS fics at the moment.

Thanks for the good thoughts -- they're much appreciated! I'm sure I'll be better once I manage to finish the unpacking and can put my hands on things again.

I loved everyone's reaction to your cookie. Clearly I won't be the only one counting down the days until you post the chapter. *G*

Your new layout is lovely (as is that red maple leaf icon).

Are you going to be in town next week? I have a small package that I want to get to you before Easter.

I never beg. Almost never. I'll make an exception. *please* ... Read it. You'll understand why after.
So, yes I'll be home next week... I work, so... :(
But you know, you don't have to send anything. I mean.. I feel spoiled. ;)

Well, you haven't steered me wrong on a story yet, so yes, I'll print it out today.

Re the package: it's just something little, but I hope you'll enjoy it. I'm actually sending the Easter Bunny hopping to a few places in France this year *g*

waving hello
Hi it's me Celia. (I'm Karen's sister.) Just thought I would poke my head up and say hello. Sorry to hear the new space is so inadequate! I second the rec for Mozart's Requiem. It's gorgeous.

Gotta get to work.

Re: waving hello
Hey! So you finally got curious and came over to take a look, huh? Or have you been reading for a while and just staying mum? Anyway, now that you're here, explore a little, get the feel of the place. Why not open an account while you're at it (you can just do a free account to start, if you want ....)

Do you like my icon? It was made for me by a very talented friend. I have lots more ...

:-)

Re: waving hello
Me Celia again. (I sound like Me Abbie when I say that.) Yes I like your icon but I've been wondering why you chose that login.

Re: waving hello
The simple answer is that all the easy-to-remember things I came up with had already been taken. So I just fell back on something from heraldry: "aswanargent" = "a swan argent" = "a silver swan". When crazybutsound offered to make an icon for me, I asked her to do the swan. Most of the other icons I use were also made by her (you'll like the Carnivàle one. The Due South, Callum Keith Rennie, and Paul Gross icons are courtesy of alinewrites.
