Just a quick note to tell those of you who've been following Tavi's and my Scotland Adventures posts (and anyone else who might like to start reading), that the posts should resume shortly. I'm back in Los Angeles (and, sadly, back at work), while Tavi's off in Spain enjoying a much-needed vacation to recover from my visit. But pictures and video clips are being selected for the upcoming posts, and once the commentary is done you'll get a chance to experience a placid boat ride on Loch Ness, learn why keeping a peacock as a pet might not make you popular with your neighbours, and enjoy some breathtaking scenery from our trip to the West Highlands (Eilan Donan Castle and the Isle of Skye). And that just scratches the surface....

foudebassan, there's also an impromptu doll video involving a trident, which may or may not be promoted here. ;-)

Oh, and Fou? If you'd just come back to LJ, you might actually get comments to your posts from me. Your entries would show up nicely on my friends page, instead of my having to open up a second non-work-related tab, thus doubling the chances that I'll be caught with something other than an Excel spreadsheet claiming my attention during working hours. In the meantime, though, I'm paging back to see the last entry of yours I remember reading, and I'll then start slowly working my way forward....

You lovely travel photos make me want to pack a bag and see more of the world!

Apart from a trip to Calgary last autumn to visit jenni_snake, this was my first trip outside the U.S. Scotland was just breathtaking, as witness the several thousand photos we ended up taking. It's really difficult to distill each day down into just 25 or 30 photos.

If you've never been to Scotland, you should definitely add it to your list of places to visit. Oh, and here's something to think about when you look at our photos of Eilan Donan: people go to that castle to be married. ;-)

I'm so far behind as usual that i didn't even know you were going. Did you get my package? I can't wait to see all your pics.

The package arrived and is now waiting patiently to be opened. At the moment I don't have a clear spot on any flat surface in the place, and I decided that until I do, it was safer to leave the package unopened. Less chance of the contents being put down somewhere and then disappearing into the undergrowth!

Scotland was just gorgeous. I was there for almost three full weeks and I'm ready right now to hop on a plane for a return visit. There are a few picture posts up on my lj, so when the heat gets too brutal, go look at the posts and picture yourself in that beautiful temperature range called the mid-50s to low-60s. We only had one day of real rain that kept us indoors, but lots of showery periods. And the flowers (with all that rain) are just amazing.

open it up and see if it's ok then put it back in the box if you have to. also what's your email addy? it bounced back and said something that it didn't exist.

50-60's???? our low has been in the high 80's. I'll have to drool over the pics, did you get to meet Sean Connery?
Aug. 2nd, 2008 01:22 am (UTC)
No Sean Connery, sadly. Maybe I'll go home tonight and watch him in The Rock. Did you ever see that? Connery and Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris and Alcatraz.

Will open the box as soon as I get home (somewhere around 8:00 p.m.).

Which email address did you try? If it was the work one, it should be firstname.lastname@cnb.com. Or just send messages to aswanargent@gmail.com.
