Coming up for air

I sat down last night at 9:00 p.m. and started watching Season 4.  Called it a day after three episodes and went to bed, but was back in front of the TV at 7:00 a.m. this morning for five more episodes back to back.  If I hadn't had an errand to run at the Post Office, I might still be there ....  Only eight episodes to go ... yeah, I can watch the rest of the season before I go to sleep tonight.  And then maybe I'll do a repeat viewing tomorrow.  Now, if anyone at work on Monday asks how I spent my weekend, how honest should I be?  Do you think they might find me a tad obsessive?   ;-)

I'm not ready to say anything coherent about Season 4 yet, except to say that so far it more than lives up to expectations.  I have to laugh at myself for asking whether I should stretch the season out by viewing an episode a week ... sure, like that would even be possible.  I don't know how all of you who watched the show when it was broadcast week ...... by ...... week stayed sane between episodes.  Writing fics?

crazybutsound, that errand at the Post Office had to do with you.  Look for a delivery in 7-10 days.</span>

Methinks it's the kind of information you need to share with fangirls & fanboys only. Commoners can't understand that when you get a new box set you need to go through all the episodes at once - or almost. They all will think it's crazy and obsessive when in fact, it's obessive but the only way to do it! Philistines are among us, what can we say *shakes head*

Fangirls and fanboys? No such animals in my department, so if the question comes up I'll pretend I was a responsible adult and did normal adult things over the weekend (shopped for food, did laundry, waxed the kitchen floor, paid bills, etc.).

It's particularly important to go through all the episodes at once when you haven't seen them before.

Have you heard that the Lost Season 1 DVDs will be released in September?

Exactly! And I'm proud to say I always do it myself *preens*

I've heard about the DVDs being released in August, actually. August or September, sounds like we'll get them real soon. Though I term the term 'we' quite loosely cause we'll be talking about R1 here, but I have faith that R2 will arrive soon as well *g*

How is it that you don't have a multi-region DVD player? Everyone else outside the U.S. seems to have one.

Everyone doesn't have one but a lot of people do, it seems, yes. Thing is, I never got around to 'hack' my DVD player so that it played all region DVDs. I could buy a multi-region DVD player eventually, but, well, money and everything, you know? And my computer doesn't even have a DVD player - multi-region or otherwise *g*

I guess I could start an active search for some cheap or 'cheaper' multi-region DVD players but I'm the patient type and usually can wait a long time for the DVDs I want to be finally released in R2. Though they're trying my patience with Oz, I'll admit, and should I do something about my lack of multi-region DVD player one day, believe me when I say that this will be my first R1 purchase *g*

Well, if your family wants to know what to get you for your birthday or for Christmas, you know what you can ask for.

Who says we stayed sane? *g* Actually, we just spent the entire week hashing and rehashing the episodes on the Internet, in fine and seemingly-endless detail! ;)

season four has always been my favourite year--i watched them backwards as i came in at cuts like a knife and then my son got hold of the other episodes about a year later--now I have my Dvds I am watching them again --but about one episode a day as time is tight- I have to say Amazon were very good when I emailed to say that they would not make the delivery date-they had them couriered to England.

Be honest but vague. You stayed in and watched some DVDs.

Hee, I knew you wouldn't be able to ration the eps out. It's impossible to stop when you know the next ep is just a click of the play button away.
