Great way to start the day

Not that I expect you to see this, but if by chance you do, then tell me, antiseptique, did I miss the post when you talked about unfriending people? I wouldn't have even known if I hadn't tried to leave a comment on your Mai 1968 post a few minutes ago, only to be told ever so politely by LJ that only friends were allowed to leave comments. Ah, well, c'est la vie, I suppose, or some other tired cliché. *shrugs*

Most people on LJ don't take the word "friend" in friendlist literally. Most people I know consider their friendlists as merely reading lists, meaning they will friend and unfriend without particular warning and only according to common interests and the content of journals. What I'm saying is that it's most likely NOT personal at all and you shouldn't take it that way. Given how quiet you've recently been, he probably just figured you'd moved on. Also, if he's unfriended you, he won't see this post, but if it hurt you this much, you might want to drop him a line directly and I bet you'll get confirmation that this wasn't meant as any kind of insult and just... people moving on. Happens a lot on LJ and really, I don't think you should take it this personally because I'm ready to bet it was NOT meant to be at all. :-)

Most people (including myself) don't give any warning when defriending other LJers; it's not like they are real friends.
Now you know, being unfriended by this particular LJer would rather appear like an honour, considering the fascist, racist and mysogynist stuff he's writing. And the post about Universities is stupid - it's not the same goal, not the same kind of students; it's impossible to compare American Universities with French ones. The latter will accept *any* girl or boy who graduated, without any restriction - good or bad. Going to the Uni is a right.
