Another book

Have just finished reading Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding. It was a lot of fun, and I have to thank crazybutsound for leaving her copy with me two years ago when she came to visit. If not for actually having a copy of the book floating around my house, I probably still wouldn't have read it. *shakes head sadly* Now I have to rent the DVD. :-)

YES! it's such a fun book to read! The movie isn't as good as the book, but still pretty fun to watch *g*

I really enjoyed that book when I read it a few years ago. It made me giggle a lot. The movie isn't quite as good, but you do get Hugh Grant and Colin Firth, both which are plusses in my opinion.

Hey, it's one of the first books I've read cover to cover in English! Since it was a success it encouraged me to go on with reading in English :)

Hum, I don't think it was me. Was it me? Because I still have my copy, so.... Maybe you bought it when I was there, one of those numerous times we went book shopping? :-D

But anyway, yes, it's such a fun book. The movie is nowhere near as good, though like someone said, Hugh Grant and Colin Firth together do manage to make it enjoyable enough. Also, the second book, The Edge of Reason, is nowhere near as good/fun as the first one. Not a bad read but it wasn't as memorable as the first.

It wasn't you? Huh. Then maybe it came from jenni_snake, because it's definitely a used copy. Oh well, just one of life's little mysteries, I guess.

You know, I'm wondering now... did maybe it come from your book exchange partner? Especially if it was a used copy? (See Jen. See Jen get back to posts on occasion. Silly Jen!)

No, definitely not from the book exchange person.

I have to give you credit for responding to this post after so long. Is this a not-so-subtle hint to me not to forget the feedback I owe Tavi on her Sarkozy-Villepin history? Maybe with the pair of you now unavailable during my lunch hours I should just earmark that time to work on the feedback I owe her. And maybe Kat could finally get her case notes written up....

Lol! Well, might help with that - actually, I was just glancing back through your LJ and came across it, and it struck me then it might be from that. Too bad it's another dead end. (It shall remain The Book of Mysterious Origin.)
