Do you remember where you were?

This is addressed to the handul of people on my flist who were alive 43 years ago.

How many of you remember what you were doing on ths day in 1963 when you heard the news about JFK?  I was in my eighth-grade classroom, and I can still close my eyes and remember every bit of that day from the point when Mr. Peterson from the class next door walked into our room and whispered in my teacher's ear.

In my country, with all the time zones, it was about 7.30p.m. when the news came.
I remember I should have been at a British Council class but had not gone and was home, in the kitchen. I remember where the radio was placed, in the counter.
I remember hearing the report that people looked towards the grassy knoll and railway zone, saying the sound of the shots came from that direction.
My recollection is that, the next day, nobody mentioned that anymore in the news.
It was only mentioned again later, when people were brave enough to challenge the official truths and the Warren Commission.
