Do all of you know antiseptique?

This introduction is really for the francophones on my flist (and also anyone else who can read French). Go take a look at his lj when you have a chance. alinewrites, you'll appreciate this post, I think: http://mikahel.livejournal.com/330666.html ("Les rats du diocèse d'Autun"). And dominiquelechic and vlad_impaler, this is the same person who posted once in July as lenin. We all talked to him in character then, you may recall.

Ah. He's the one and only person I ever banned from my journal. Not because he posted anything in it, mind you, but because he suddenly friended almost 800 random people with the sarkozy journal and ugh. That being said, I just had a look through his normal lj and even though he's well read and expresses himself beautifully, he is not someone I want to read or even remotely associate with. Some of his posts are just plain scary and his ideas are not ideas I appreciate.

He only did that one post as lenin. I only know about the antiseptique lj because he mentioned it either in the comment thread or in an e-mail.

I skip right over his long posts because I don't have the time to try to work them out with a dictionary and French grammar. I do make an effort with the short ones, though, like the one I referenced, and one a little earlier which was a Balzac quote.

The long posts are very varried but one of them was about gay rights and homosexuality and let's just say it gave me nasty chills. There was also a very short one that said that being a democrat ("de gauche") was really stupidly ridiculous. Like I said, not someone I want to even remotely associate with. I should try and translate the post about homosexuality, though, because it is in a way enlightening.

Also whether he only made one post as Sarkozy or not is irrelevant. He posted no disclaimer to the info page at the time (and still hasn't) and made the journal look like some kind of propaganda tool for Sarkozy and went ahead and friended 800 people with no explanation. That's just not something you do, particularly when you're using and abusing somebody else's name. It made it very unclear what his purpose was. Was he RPGing? Was he campaigning in Sarkozy's name? Which really doesn't change anything as far as I'm concerned because RPG or propaganda, Sarkozy is not something/someone I want to have to do with. I am NOT interested and he didn't give anybody he friended a choice in the matter. Like I said, I do NOT want to be associated with him and sarkozy in any way, and resent having to appear in his "friends" list. Which is why I banned him, so he at least wouldn't appear in my "friends of" list.

I think I'll clear up some details about the article... It has nothing to do, in fact, with defending animals.
For a rather long time, during the middle age, it was a tradition for attorneys to test their talents by defending animals -instead of humans. Much more harmless and after all why not. There's a comedy by Corneille where one of the characters has to defend a dog, If I remember.
And, you know, it's not like I want to sound snob but i'm really not into people playing real political men -or women. It has nothing exotic or appealing to me. It's really something that puzzles me -especially the fact that you're choosing European ones. Poutine is not much better than any ordinary bloodthirsty tyran... WTF do you find exciting about this? It's the same to me as slashing Hitler with Staline - it borders indecency.
And as far as Sarkozy is concerned, I have enough of the scumbag in RL. Don't need an imaginary one.

Jeez, Aline, what did I do? I only put in the lenin reference so two of my non-French friends would know that they'd run across antiseptique a few months ago in another setting. He only made the one post in the lenin lj, and he never was part of the worldaffairs community. As to worldaffairs, the slash was taken out of that a while ago and is being written privately. If it ever gets posted, it won't be there. All I intended to do was introduce a French poster to the people on my flist who are able to read his posts. If none of you want to read him, I have no problem with that. I made the introduction, and that's it.

Actually, the only idea that someone can *play* at (? or no at?) being Sarkozy makes me angry. It's so not a game for me.
And also the fact that French politics isn't some cheap playground where people from anywhere else can come and play.
Aaaaaah. I said it. Now I feel better and I'm back to my normal not so unpleasant self.
