This seems to be my new wake-up time. Three days in a row now. Without the alarm going off. *sigh*

So, a quiz, courtesy of nicci_mac:

Your Vocabulary Score: A

Congratulations on your multifarious vocabulary!
You must be quite an erudite person.

Foul temptress! Of course you knew I couldn't bypass, with good conscience, a test of my linguistic merit! Unfortunately, I have merely this to show for it:

Your Vocabulary Score: B+

You have a zealous love for the English language, and many find your vocabulary edifying.
Don't fret that you didn't get every word right, your vocabulary can be easily ameliorated!

B+??? I ask you! But I disagree with some of those definitions - I went back and changed phlegmatic to 'unemotional' and quixotic to 'idealistic', and got an A. I would define, rather, the first definitely not as 'unemotional', but rather as 'languid'; quixotic as 'romantic'... Someone needs to rewrite their quiz.

And for that, I would like an A+, please. Or at least extra credit.

Oooh ooo look!! I got an A+!!! Pretty cool, bragging-wise, as my old English teacher used to say.

Re: words
PS: Oh Jenni you have the handicap of knowing too much! You see all kinds of nuances in the words. I used to make mistakes on tests a lot because of that, because I'd see choices the teachers hadn't imagined. A++ to you!

Re: words
Well, there's some consolation in that, anyway. ^_^

Re: words
Stick it to her, then! ^_^ (Actually, I thought that A was the highest, will now have to wonder again why I didn't get the A+... I have a new complex. ;-))

Re: words
Stick it to her, then???????

Do I sense some a slight bit of hostility here? Would you like to talk about it? I know this psychiatrist in Zürich....

Speaking of Switzerland, I'm thinking of writing a short third-person scene which takes place a few days after the never-finished roof scene. It's just going to be Kat thinking back to the events of that Saturday afternoon, and putting in a bit of what followed. The scene will be left open-ended, so that if anyone ever wants to pick the storyline up again, it can be done. I won't be starting it for a while; I have editing and formatting to finish first. When the scene does get written, though, I'll send it off for comment and buy-in.
